Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although comfortable and well-appointed, had some issues like a window that couldn't shut properly and noise disturbances. The lack of a warm welcome at reception was a downside, but the hotel had a unique Ghostbusters theme that intrigued me.

My stay at The Charles Inn was a mix of pleasant and unsettling experiences. The location was perfect for exploring downtown and enjoying waterfront concerts, but the odd decor and slanted rooms made me feel uneasy. The service was genuinely friendly and helpful, but the lack of modern amenities in the 'classic' style room was disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms had a strange mix of decor with a Ghostbusters theme, and the slanted floors made me feel like I might roll out of bed. The water pressure was quite poor.
Service
8.0
The staff was really friendly and accommodating, making my stay more pleasant despite the room issues.
Location
7.0
The central location was convenient for exploring the downtown area, but parking was limited, which could be a drawback if you have a car.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was average. There were good eating options within walking distance, but having breakfast at the sister location half a mile away was a bit inconvenient.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel facilities were decent, but the lack of modern amenities in the room was a downside.

8.4/10

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were unique but not as bright as expected, and there were some unconventional decorations that may not be to everyone's taste. However, the staff was very helpful, and the location was unbeatable for exploring downtown Bangor and attending a conference. Though the dining options were not on-site, there were good nearby restaurants to choose from.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were definitely different and very unique, but not as bright as I remembered from past visits. Some may find the decor over the top with unusual decorations.
Service
9.0
The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout my stay, making sure I had everything I needed despite any room quirks.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location right in the center of downtown Bangor was fantastic for exploring the city, attending events at the Darling's Waterfront Pavilion, and enjoying nearby restaurants and bars.
Dining
8.0
While the dining wasn't on-site, the recommendations for nearby dining options were good, making up for the lack of on-site choices.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel didn't have direct on-site dining, but the overall facilities were sufficient for a comfortable stay.
